Product Summary

The Optical ESB Bus Repeater Module is designed to convert the ESB Bus signals, which connect the safety control unit, safety node unit, and N-IO node, into optical signals for improved data transmission. This conversion allows for the extension of the ESB Bus transmission distance by connecting the Optical ESB Bus Repeater Master Module (SNT401) and the Optical ESB Bus Repeater Slave Module (SNT501) with optical fiber cables.

The transmission distance of the ESB Bus can be extended up to 5 km when connecting the Optical ESB Bus Repeater Master Module (SNT401) on the master side to the N-ESB Bus Module (S2EN501) on the slave side, and the N-ESB Bus Module (S2EN501) on the master side to the Optical ESB Bus Repeater Slave Module (SNT501) on the slave side, all linked via optical fiber cables.

SNT401 Optical ESB Bus Repeater Master Module
This module is connected to the ESB Bus Coupler Module (SEC401, SEC402) on the safety control unit or the ESB Bus Interface Module (SSB401) on the safety node unit (SNB10D) through an ESB Bus cable. There are two variants of the ESB Bus Repeater Modules: one with a terminator and one without a terminator, allowing flexible configurations depending on system needs.

SNT501 Optical ESB Bus Repeater Slave Module
This module is connected from the Optical ESB Bus Repeater Master Module or N-ESB Bus Module through an optical fiber cable. It is further connected via ESB Bus cable to the ESB Bus Interface Module (SSB401) on the safety node unit (SNB10D), enabling seamless data transfer within safety-critical networks.
