About the PLC MODULE 1784-PCMK Communication Card

The 1784-PCMK communication card is a PCMCIA communication interface card that is manufactured by PLC MODULE. The 1784-PCMK card is commonly used for interfacing the devices on the DH+, the DH485, and the Remote I/O communication networks to a personal computer or to a notebook computer. The Data Highway Plus (DH+) network refers to a Local Area Network (LAN) that is designed for supporting remote programming and also for messaging between the computers and the controllers. This network is used mostly when interfacing with the factory-floor applications. The 1784-PCMK card is easy to install in the communication module. It is used for providing a simple communication interface between the PLCs, the PCs, and the SLCs. The 1784-PCMK card provides a high level of performance, and it is intended for use in the Pollution Degree 2 rated industrial environments, and in Overvoltage Category II applications.

The 1784-PCMK card can be used in environments where the altitude is up to 2000 meters above sea level without the unit's output derating.
