The Honeywell 10101/2/1 is a FSC safety digital input module with 16 digital input channels at 24 Vdc. The input stage of this module has a "fail-safe" feature, which means that a component failure will cause the input signal to remove power to the processor, which is a safe state in a normally powered system. The remaining logic circuits of the module are fully covered by the self-test function of the system. During the configured process safety time, the module is tested to check its ability to receive logic level '0' signals, logic level '1' signals, and crosstalk between inputs.
