IS200ERSDG1A is a Excitation Regulator Converter Board developed by GE. It is a part of EX2100e control system. The EX2100e Excitation Control Regulator system is GE's most recent cutting-edge control system for new and retrofit steam, gas, or hydro generators. To ensure the delivery of a true system solution, GE's system and controls engineering work closely together to design control hardware and software. Excitation Control systems, Turbine Control systems, Static Starter Control systems, Integrated Control Systems (ICS), and the Human-machine Interface are all seamlessly integrated (HMI).

Power Conversion Module
The Power Conversion Module (PCM) is made up of an integrated IGBT inverter module with six IGBTs linked in a three-phase inverter configuration.
The PWM dc output for field excitation is generated by two of the six IGBTs. To prevent overvoltage, a third IGBT is used to discharge the dc link capacitors into an external DD resistor. Input power is either rectified alternating current, direct current from a station battery, or both. A primary control and PCM (M1) and a backup control and PCM (M2) are identical in the dual redundant application.
A transfer module assesses the health of the primary and backup controls and chooses which control to activate for maximum reliability and availability.
