The 3500/44M Aeroderivitive GT Vibration Monitor is a four-channel instrument specifically designed for aeroderivative gas turbine applications. It is equipped to continuously monitor machinery by comparing monitored parameters against configured alarm setpoints, thereby driving alarms. Additionally, it communicates essential machine information, which is vital for both operations and maintenance personnel.
This vibration monitor interfaces with Velomitor sensors and accelerometers through Bently Nevada interface modules, utilizing the Prox/Velom I/O for connectivity. Configuration of the 3500/44M is facilitated by the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, which allows for various filter options such as signal integration, 1X vibration tracking, and band-pass vibration filtering.
The 3500/44M accepts input from two separate Keyphasor signals, enabling each channel pair to operate with a different tracking filter. This feature enhances the monitor’s flexibility and precision in vibration analysis. Moreover, multimode channels can be configured with up to eight sets of alarm parameters, including alert and danger setpoints, as well as alarm time delays, tailored for specific machine modes.
As the machine transitions between modes, the monitor can switch to a specific set of alarm parameters. This switching is controlled either by contacts on multimode I/O modules or through software commands issued via a communications gateway, ensuring seamless and efficient monitoring across various operational states.
