The Bently Nevada 3300 XL Proximitor® Sensor features numerous enhancements over prior designs, enabling high-density DIN-rail installations and offering a traditional panel mount configuration with an identical footprint to older 4-hole mounted Proximitor® Sensor designs, while the mounting base for both options provides electrical isolation, thus eliminating the need for separate isolator plates, and its high immunity to radio frequency interference allows for installation in fiberglass housings without negative impacts from nearby radio frequency signals, with the improved RFI/EMI immunity also enabling it to meet European CE mark approvals without the necessity for special shielded conduit or metallic housings, which reduces installation costs and complexity, and the 3300 XL’s SpringLoc terminal strips simplify and expedite field wiring connections by doing away with screw-type clamping mechanisms that can become loose, requiring no special installation tools for a faster and more robust setup.

Despite the differences in packaging between the 3300 XL Proximitor® Sensor and its predecessor, it is engineered to fit the same 4-hole mounting pattern when used with the appropriate 4-hole mounting base. Additionally, it will fit within the same mounting space specifications, provided that the minimum permissible cable bend radius is observed.
