3300 XL 8 mm system Detail

The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System is a sophisticated measurement solution designed for vibration, position, Keyphasor reference, and speed measurements. It comprises three main components: the 3300 XL 8 mm probe, the 3300 XL extension cable, and the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor. This system offers an output voltage that correlates directly with the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface being observed, enabling it to measure both static and dynamic values effectively.

The system is particularly suited for use in fluid-film bearing machines, where accurate vibration and position measurements are critical. Additionally, it excels in providing Keyphasor reference and speed measurements, ensuring reliable performance in a variety of industrial applications.

The 3300 XL 8 mm system sets a new standard for performance in eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 5-meter system meets the stringent requirements of the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard, including mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. This ensures that all 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems deliver consistent, high-level performance and allow for the complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors without the need for matching or bench calibration.

Furthermore, each component of the 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System is designed for backward compatibility and interchangeability with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components. This flexibility includes the ability to use the 3300 5 mm probe in applications where an 8 mm probe would be too large for the available mounting space, expanding the system’s versatility and utility in various industrial settings.
