1771-OFE3 Analog Output Module Description

The 1771-OFE3 output module is an analog output module designed for use with the PLC 5 series. It features 4 individually isolated differential outputs, each with 1000 Volts of isolation, making it ideal for applications that require high accuracy and reliability. This module operates without the need for an external power source, drawing its required 2.5A at 5V power from the I/O chassis backplane. Additionally, it is equipped with a conformal coating to protect it from humidity and corrosive chemicals, ensuring durability in harsh environments.

The 1771-OFE3 module comes pre-configured with jumpers installed, eliminating the need for additional configuration by the operator before activation. It has a channel update time of 8ms for BCD format and 1.6ms for Natural Binary format, providing fast response times. The module has a maximum power dissipation of 13.1W, with a maximum thermal dissipation of 44.5 BTU/hr.

For easy maintenance and installation, the 1771-OFE3 includes a wiring arm, allowing users to replace the module without disconnecting the wiring. It can be installed in any slot of a 1771 I/O chassis, with keying bands required between pins 10-12 and 26-28 to secure the module in place.
